This project in the Côte d'Azur is a four-storey sanctuary designed to merge high-performance training with luxury wellness, overlooking the stunning Gulf of Nice. The structure features a basement level with parking and a swimming pool, while the ground floor houses a spa and state-of-the-art training facilities, including a high-end gym tailored for athletes. The top floor boasts five exclusive penthouses, each offering unparalleled views of the coast.
The building’s form and façade follow the organic lines of the surrounding greenery and the natural curvature of the adjacent roads, allowing it to blend harmoniously with its environment. The landscape and greenery are essential aspects of the project, seamlessly integrated into the design to foster a sense of connection with nature.
Inspired by the mur à sec, a traditional dry-stone wall typical of Provence, the façade features local stone cladding that evokes an informal, natural aesthetic. Large openings across the façade maximize natural light and offer breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, reinforcing a sense of openness and connection to the Côte d'Azur landscape.
Inside, the material palette is grounded in earthy tones, featuring terrazzo and terracotta flooring, clay-rendered walls, and dark walnut joinery to create a warm, inviting environment. Since we could not alter the structural design, we chose to leave the concrete structure exposed as a key design feature, enhancing the space's industrial elegance. Each interior element is thoughtfully arranged around this core structure, with biomaterials incorporated to further support a natural, sustainable ambiance.
