The renovation included updated internal fittings to enhance the apartment’s spatial distribution, creating more functional spaces and an improved flow throughout the premises. Interior masonry work was carried out to reposition the internal walls separating the entrance from the living room, kitchen, and the former servant’s room with its bathroom. This allowed for the enlargement of the kitchen on the south side.
A 1930s building designed by renowned architect Daniele Calabi from Padua, this refurbishment involved one of the top-floor apartments. Bruno Zevi, speaking of Calabi, describes him as “a brilliant and cultured man, a tireless traveler, intelligent and elegant, passionate about theater and music, socialist by family tradition, a leading figure in the discourse surrounding family and urban structures throughout the country at that time.” The project is located on Via A. Gabelli, in the heart of Padua, near the main university hospital and clinic.
